The riverbank stretches beyond the window, mountain ridges unfurl, and thoughts begin to wander.

The hostess is a creative professional; the host works in a technical field. Both are freelancers who work from home, each with their own dedicated territory — free to focus without disturbing the other, fully immersed in their respective crafts. In moments of leisure, they retreat together to the daybed, gazing out at the river view, letting the mountain ridges wash away tangled thoughts. Easy, flexible, and free — this is what "home" truly means.

The black and grey artistic plaster intentionally embraces imperfection. As shimmering river light reflects within, the mirrored surfaces amplify the play of light, quietly expanding the sense of space while leaving walls with a subtly flickering, ambiguous texture.

Black embodies shadow; grey embodies restraint. The living room brings together the kitchen island and the creative professional's desk, shaping an open, fluid rhythm of daily life.

The entryway cabinet connects seamlessly to the main TV wall, beneath which a clever projector solution is concealed. The projector sits recessed in a niche — with the wooden door closed, the surface becomes a clean display shelf; opened, it allows direct upward projection for a premium home cinema experience. No repositioning, no adjustments needed. All power cables are integrated within the cabinet, and the robot vacuum tucks away beneath the floating base — complexity dissolved into pure, effortless convenience.

The black bookcase conceals storage behind sliding doors, while a wood-grain display shelf sits at its centre — curating the family's collection, expressing a distinctive sense of taste, warmth quietly nestled within calm.

The window daybed serves many roles — a leisure spot for gazing at the view, for sitting or lying at ease, and as a side table for the workspace behind the sofa. Here, the hostess lets her imagination roam freely, drifting to wherever inspiration leads. Books, paper, and pens rest casually on the platform, quietly holding the traces of a life lived.

The slatted screen at the island speaks a distinctly Japanese design language, while discreetly concealing the entrance to the inner kitchen. In an instant, the light dining area transforms into something reminiscent of an intimate counter-style kitchen. Brewing coffee becomes a quiet ritual — a small feast that softens the pace of a busy day.

The screen and the island — one horizontal, one vertical — carry within them the memory of architecture. Unhurried geometry, needing no glaze; natural flavour is its own kind of simplicity.

The master bedroom likewise basks in the river view, soft light dancing with sheer curtains to evenly illuminate the space. Stripped of excess ornamentation, the grey-and-white palette brings emotional balance. Slatted screens conceal the entrance to the walk-in wardrobe, while natural wood and quiet clarity build layers of depth — continuing the unhurried Japanese spirit throughout.

A home that puts you at ease is like design speaking the language of the heart — sketching the hopes for the future into a spatial framework, resonating with the soul, releasing the tension of a tightly wound rhythm. Throughout the space, artistic plaster renders simplicity and patina through a modern hand, itself a design language. As daylight and river views softly illuminate the interior, one begins to see time moving gently forward — slowing down, and feeling the quiet turn of nature.
